Balji, Jeeram and the students were passing out tracts when they were attacked.

Two Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries, Balji and Jeeram, serve in Jharkhand, India. They are experiencing opposition that, sadly, is becoming common in that state.

Pray for Jharkhand as the opposition is increasing day by day,” wrote GFA’s correspondent.

Recently three Bible college students and one graduate came to help Balji and Jeeram reach out to the villages surrounding their places of ministry.

While the missionaries and students were passing out tracts on November 6, suddenly a group of 15 people surrounded them and started to beat them. Angry about Balji and Jeerams’ preaching, the mob told the group they must leave that village.

There are many people interested in the Gospel in that area, and Balji and Jeeram don’t want to leave. They ask for prayer that a solution will be found so that they can continue their ministry there. They also seek prayer for the people who oppose them, that they will come to know Jesus.
