Gabriel, a Gospel for Asia native missionary who was severely burned in an accident, died in his sleep on April 15 at 5:30 P.M. He was burned from his shoulders to his feet when a heavy fire broke out near his home two weeks ago. Gabriel rushed to save a small child and slipped into a deep pit. He was unable to climb out when an avalanche of burning grass and chaff fell down on him.

“Pray for me that I may reach heaven peacefully,” were the last words uttered by Gabriel while being treated in a hospital in North India. Doctors did their best to save his life, but on Saturday evening Gabriel went to be with the Lord.

Gabriel worked among his own people in North India and for the last two years, led prayer meetings in his village. Today, five families regularly attend the worship services there.

Please thank the Lord that Gabriel left this world peacefully and not in pain. Lift up his mother and brother during this time. Pray for the congregation and that God will raise up another pastor who will shepherd and guide them as they deepen their walk with the Lord.
