No one knew quite what to do with Gautam. A drug addict living in South Asia, he stirred up trouble in the lives of his family and society. To those who had to put up with his behavior, his condition must have appeared hopeless, unredeemable.

But there came a turning point in Gautam’s life when he visited a prayer meeting at a church planted by a GFA missionary and heard God’s Word proclaimed. The Holy Spirit moved in Gautam’s heart to show him his desperate condition as a sinner in need of God’s grace, mercy and forgiveness. And that was enough for Gautam—he received Christ as Lord and Savior.

What a testimony of God’s power at work throughout Asia in the lives of people who once worshipped many deities—gods whose wrath they feared. Pray that many in Gautam’s village will witness the change in his life and realize that, in Christ, they too can have redemption of sin.
