This year’s Renewing Your Passion Conference is coming quickly. Loretta Robinson, who attended last year’s conference, is still talking about the things it did in her life.

When Loretta heard about GFA’s 2005 conference, she was preparing for a yearly missions summit she hosts, but was feeling no vision for it.

“I jumped on the conference,” Loretta said. ” ‘Renewing your passion’ was just what I needed.”

Loretta brought a friend with her so they could drive to Dallas together. “The speakers were knowledgeable, had in-depth insight, and knew how to present it,” Loretta said. “I believe God chose those people to speak.

“My friend was not involved in missions,” Loretta explained. “She cried every day. She kept saying, ‘I didn’t know, I didn’t know.’ Now she’s a believer in missions.”

Loretta said that the conference encouraged everyone to “come together and do business with God.” She came away with a renewed passion for missions and practical ideas for carrying it out, including one she calls her “newspaper ministry.”

“If you want a ministry,” she commented, “just pick up the newspaper and start praying.”

And besides this, Loretta’s passion for the Lord was revived and refreshed.

“One of the speakers said, ‘God wants our life.’ And these missionaries are giving their lives for the Gospel. Does it say anywhere in Scripture, ‘God wants a reasonable portion of your life’? No, He asks for your heart, soul, mind and strength—that’s your LIFE.”

She feels that being involved in missions allows Christians to experience God at a whole new level—“See the words of God raised up off the pages of the Book.”

Loretta hopes to attend this year’s Renewing Your Passion Conference—and she’s spreading the word.

“I have already recommended this conference to several friends and some are going,” she said. “My hopes and dreams are to be there.”
