Text from this PhotoShow:
During this new Gospel for Asia mobile team's first four weeks on the road, they visited 60 villages and screened a film on the life of Jesus 22 times.
The mobile team traveled into rural villages like this one in their region of Asia.
Several of the villages they visited were homes for leprosy patients. These desperate people were so thankful that the team took time to show them love.
In each village, the team would gather a crowd with music and drama, both of which are very popular in their culture. They also distributed Gospel tracts to onlookers.
Curious people came out and packed into the small village streets to hear what these visitors had to say.
The mobile team members would share the message of Jesus' love with the crowd, then introduce the local GFA-supported missionary serving as pastor in that village.
Thousands of people heard of Jesus for the first time and were directed to the local pastor to learn more. The team personally met many leprosy patients, who found out that Jesus does not consider them outcasts as their society does.
One night as the mobile team set up to show a film on the life of Jesus, as was their usual practice, a group began shouting and trying to stop the film. With prayer, the group calmed, and 450 people watched the film with no problems.
During this mobile team's first four weeks on the field, they were able to share Jesus with 6,500 people. They are praying that each of them will choose to follow Him.
