Lun winced in excruciating pain. She had been in labor for three days … and still no child. Her body felt worn, exhausted.

Meanwhile, the pastor of a Gospel for Asia fellowship group was fervently interceding for her. Lun’s husband played a leadership role in the group. Not long after the pastor prayed for Lun, the doctor was able to successfully deliver her baby!

In just a few hours, news of Lun’s safe delivery had already spread through her village in Myanmar. The people were amazed at this manifestation of God’s power-and many of them began coming to the GFA worship services to learn more about Jesus.

All glory to God that through the compassion, prayers and support of GFA friends around the world, many more such scenes are taking place in this nation that has suffered violence and oppression for decades. Christian activities are strictly monitored by the watchful eye of a military regime. Yet more than 700 GFA native missionaries are courageously spreading the news of God’s hope, pointing people to the One who can give them freedom both for this life and the life to come.

GFA also has a film outreach ministry in this area, as well as evangelistic radio broadcasts airing in the Burmese and Chin languages. Please pray for God’s special blessing on the work of the Gospel in Myanmar. May many more weary hearts be drawn to the Father through His redeeming love.
