Most of us would avoid a married couple in the midst of a heated argument—but not Yaftha, a GFA Bible woman serving in South India. Moved with compassion toward the embittered couple, Yaftha told Jose and Sita of the love of Christ.
After earnestly praying for them, the young woman visited the couple to counsel them. God did an incredible work; both husband and wife admitted their wrongs and decided to stay together. They also put their faith in Jesus for salvation and submitted their lives to His authority. Because Yaftha was a willing vessel in her Master’s hands, she had the privilege to witness God’s mighty hand at work.
Give thanks to God for restoring a marriage and saving two precious souls. Pray for unity to pervade the hearts of this newly restored couple, that their love for each other may speak to other villagers of God’s redemptive power.
