Saved through a Motorcycle Crash

Motorbikes are common transportation in Asia. Beni's motorbike crash changed his life.

The sound of screeching tires signaled the end of Beni's old life. When he left the hospital after what should have been a fatal accident, he was a new man inside.

Beni had been a drunk. He and his family lived in poverty while he drained his income buying alcohol. In spite of this, his wife, Jasleen, and their children still considered their life happy because at home, he showed care and concern for them.

But everything changed one day during his ride home from the factory where he worked. Beni was riding his motorcycle even though he was drunk. The inevitable happened, and a terrible accident sent him to the hospital. Doctors said he lost too much blood, and there was no hope for his survival.

Jasleen was terrified. She didn't want to lose her husband. At this low point, when she needed to hear his message most, she met Gospel for Asia–supported missionary Amaan Ravi. He shared the story of Jesus' love for her, and she was deeply touched. She told Amaan of her husband's accident and asked him to pray.

As Amaan prayed for Beni, Jasleen put her trust in Jesus. Beni's subsequent recovery shocked the doctors, but his wife knew exactly why he was healed. She told Beni about the love of Jesus, and he, too, chose to follow Christ and abandoned his alcoholism.

Now, Beni and Jasleen want to serve the Lord with all their heart. They request prayer that many people will see God's loving power through this miracle.
