Many women in developing countries die during pregnancy due to a lack of knowledge about proper nutrition. According to UNICEF, anemia affects more than 90 percent of adolescent girls and 50 percent of women in countries like India.
That’s why Gospel for Asia was distributing vitamins on church grounds, in clubs and at schools and hospitals.
Jiva Giri helped distribute the vitamins as part of a team of GFA-supported missionaries and Women’s Fellowship volunteers.
In addition to distributing vitamins, the Women’s Fellowship teams took the opportunity to share the Gospel with the people. Families who received vitamins have become more receptive to hearing the Good News.
The lives of the villagers are changing, and they can tell the vitamins are making a difference. The demand for more vitamins is increasing every day.
One lady with a two-month-old child remarked, “I feel the change now.”
GFA-supported missionaries request prayers for those who received the multi-vitamins, that they will come to know God’s love for them through their ministry.
