Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries in two different cities set out to share God's love with the most rejected people in their society: Leprosy victims and disabled children.
The 700 people in these slum communities are from many different backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common--their leprosy has made them outcastes in their society.
The missionaries demonstrated the love of Jesus by cooking and serving a hot nutritious meal to the slum dwellers.
For this hungry child, a warm meal was a welcome blessing in the midst of his crushingly desperate circumstances.
On the same day, in another South Asian city, a second team of GFA-supported missionaries brought the sweet hope of God's love to a group of disabled children.
Because of their handicaps, these children are ostracized by most of their society. Very few people ever show love to them.
The missionary team brought the children snacks and other small treats to enjoy.
It was their way of showing these children that each one is special in the eyes of their Creator.
The team also gathered around the children and prayed for them.
In just one day of ministry, God's love was shared with hundreds of people who previously believed no one really cared for them. Now they can smile with gratitude in their hearts, knowing that their Creator loves them.
