The children of this Gospel for Asia Bridge of Hope center live in a slum where their parents work the most menial jobs, like cleaning the sewage or doing some other dangerous job, which the rest of society won't do.
Many of the children spend their days playing or sitting under the trees or beside the river.
Now these children can go to a Bridge of Hope center.
Our Bridge of Hope staff regularly visits the children and their families at their homes to pray and encourage them.
The staff also makes sure the children are well groomed and keeping up with their personal hygiene. Here a staff member cuts a little girl's hair.
"Nourishing these children and raising awareness in these communities is a very difficult task when compared to other communities," a GFA field correspondent explained. "They don't care about their daily baths, breakfast or their other basic needs."
But these staff members go the extra mile to teach the kids cleanliness by bathing each one themselves.
They also give them creative alternatives to roaming the streets by teaching them arts and crafts.
The Bridge of Hope center also reaches out to the students' parents with health awareness education and practical help. Bridge of Hope staff gives multivitamins to women.
By ministering to these families, these caring servants are sharing the love of Jesus and changing entire communities.
