Ten-year-old Vincy sat quietly, her gaze fixed on the teacher. This was her first time in Sunday school, and although she didn’t understand everything, she listened intently.
At home that evening, she noticed her mom weeping and asked why she was crying. Through her mother’s tears, Vincy learned that her father had deserted the family for another woman.
Wanting to help, Vincy shared with her mom about seeing her Sunday school teacher pray to a God named Jesus. The teacher had told the children, “Jesus will hear you if you pray.”
So Vincy encouraged her mom to pray, and they knelt down together. The broken woman cried out that she did not know who Jesus was, but she was praying to Him for help.
Around 11 that evening, Vincy’s mother received a phone call from her estranged husband, telling her he was sorry and would be coming home at once.
There was much joy in the family when he arrived. Vincy’s parents met with the pastor of the local GFA-related church, and each person in the family received Christ! Please pray for their continued growth in Christ—and may Vincy’s parents enjoy the blessings of a Christ-focused marriage.
