Sakila and Ameena fervently prayed for their intoxicated family member. Maybe, just maybe, today will be the day he changes, they would think. Ramu was not an easy person to live with. Not only did he have addictions, he also refused to believe in the existence of God. One day GFA Bible college student Rustam shared the Gospel with him. But Ramu didn’t want anything to do with this God.
In desperation—and knowing Almighty God could change their family member’s heart—Sakila and Ameena fasted and prayed for his salvation. They were delighted when Ramu began attending church with them. Yet he remained unwilling to give his life to Christ.
In the meantime, Ramu broke his backbone in an accident. Those who saw him thought he had no chance for survival. Again Bible college student Rustam, along with other believers, visited Ramu—this time to comfort and pray for him. Through the Lord’s miraculous intervention, Ramu’s life was spared. He could no longer deny that there was a God. Touched by God’s power and compassion shown through His children, Ramu asked forgiveness for his sin and trusted in Jesus as Savior and Lord.
