The very accident that took Kanjri’s feet from under her brought her to the feet of Jesus. Kanjri, a mother of three, was on top of a building when she fell off. She sustained serious, life-threatening injuries in the fall.
Her husband, Gandhik, immediately took her to the hospital, only to hear a fearful prognosis: Kanjri was probably going to die. The staff at the hospital did all they could for Kanjri, but it was all in vain. She wasn’t even able to eat, so she grew weaker by the day. Gandhik had to watch helplessly as his wife suffered.
Someone told the couple about Jayesh Verma, a GFA-supported pastor. Gandhik called Jayesh and explained the desperate situation to him. Hearing their story, Jayesh was moved with compassion.
He visited Gandhik and Kanjri, shared the Good News of Jesus with them and encouraged them to trust in Him completely. He also told them about Christ’s power to heal. As they heard about all that Jesus had done for mankind, Gandhik and Kanjri felt great comfort and hope enter their hearts.
Jayesh gladly prayed for Kanjri—and the Lord healed her completely. Gandhik and Kanjri were overjoyed to witness this amazing miracle. They both put their trust in Jesus and testified of their faith before others.
They began attending church regularly and told many people about how they had witnessed Jesus’ healing power—their story a vibrant testimony to the power of God to get people back on their feet.
