The prayers of a GFA missionary changed Lilly’s life.
It was an all too familiar feeling when Lilly ended up in the hospital again. At least the doctors were able to diagnose her illness this time. Previously, they were unable to find a cause for her severe stomach pains.

As Lilly waited in her hospital room, a hint of guilt nudged her when she saw a familiar face coming in the door. It was Nehemiah Kumar, a GFA missionary who had already had a big impact in her life.

Lilly and her husband met Nehemiah the first time Lilly was sick. The couple makes their living selling vegetables, and money was scarce. Still, they managed to get to several doctors and even made sacrifices to their gods for her recovery. But nothing changed until they met Nehemiah.

“As Lilly waited in her hospital room, a hint of guilt nudged her when she saw a familiar face coming in the door.” His first visit to the couple’s home brought them hope. Nehemiah shared the Gospel and prayed for Lilly’s healing, and God answered the prayer. But even though she received a miracle, Lilly chose to continue worshipping her gods and goddesses rather than following Jesus.

Despite her rejection of Christ, Nehemiah continued praying for Lilly and her husband. When he heard she was in the hospital, he quickly went to visit her. He reminded them of how the Lord healed her before. He also reminded her that the Lord is patient and was still waiting for her to choose to follow Him.

When she heard Nehemiah’s message , Lilly’s heart was changed. She repented and received salvation right there. Once again, the Lord healed her.

Nehemiah asks that you please pray for Lilly and her family to follow the Lord faithfully and to have opportunities to share the story of her miracles with many people.
