Christians in one area of South Asia have been waiting a long time for a place to worship.
They had the land on which to build their churches, but there were complications in getting all the needed paperwork. These believers kept praying and patiently waiting on the Lord.
It was a day of great rejoicing when the first foundation stone was finally laid at one church site.
Just as a prayer marked the laying of the cornerstone, it has also been the foundation of GFA's work in this area. GFA-supported missionary Layak Rangan spent agonizing hours in prayer for the people, until one by one, they began to understand the salvation that Jesus offers them.
For years, these believers had crowded into a home or rented building to worship, all the while praying for a church of their own. Just a few months ago, their prayers were answered as they dedicated their new church building.
Another congregation in the same state rejoiced that day as they also dedicated a new church building.
A third church building was dedicated the following day. Here, GFA-supported pastor Victor Nayar addresses his congregation at their celebration.
With hearts of gratitude, believers in three new churches united in prayer to thank the Lord for their new places to worship and serve Him.
