Two Gospel for Asia missionaries, one in Bhutan and one in India, need prayer today. One is in the hospital after an accident, and the other is facing opposition from police.
Wednesday morning, GFA missionary Abhik Roi in Karnataka, India, was traveling on a train to a meeting. He was standing by the door while the train slowed to pull into the station, and he slipped and fell onto the track. The train rolled over his leg, crushing it.
Abhik is in a hospital now, and doctors say he will probably lose his leg. He has a wife and a baby.
Far from the southern state of Karnataka, GFA missionary Rana works wholeheartedly in her village in Bhutan. But when she was doing outreach on November 15, a team of Royal Bhutan Police stopped her. The police searched her bags and found her Gospel literature. For over an hour, they interrogated Rana, and finally filed a case with a higher local authority. The charges against her are unclear.

“This authority has been taking the case very seriously and harassing the believers,” GFA’s correspondent wrote.
This isn’t the first time Rana has found herself in trouble with the Bhutan police. She was arrested two years ago and imprisoned for a short time. Yet, she has been instrumental in seeing churches planted in previously unreached villages in her country. After seeing her ministry, police ordered Rana and her coworkers not to travel to certain villages with the Gospel.
Both Abhik and Rana ask for prayer and a miracle from the Lord so that they can continue sharing the love of Jesus.
