Gospel for Asia-supported pastor Raahi encountered opposition after locals found out he was building BioSand water filters.
The local people interrogated Raahi, asking where he was from, what he was doing and if the place where he was assembling the filters was a legitimate factory.
The questioning discouraged Raahi, but he still plans to distribute the filters soon.
The BioSand water filters are a new project in the region, and the people are unaware of the benefits of these filters, which will provide them with clean water. Using natural resources, the filters remove 98 percent of impurities in contaminated water. In most regions of South Asia, having clean water is a luxury.
Raahi asks for prayer that as he goes out and distributes the filters, people will be receptive to him and will see the love of Christ through these gifts. Prayer is also needed as Raahi and others continue assembling more BioSand water filters.
