Changuna Gavde and her parents didn’t know that traveling to their relative’s wedding would lead to another special event in their lives: the day they got to learn about the heavenly Bridegroom.
In the village where Changuna’s relative’s wedding ceremony was taking place, Gospel for Asia-supported pastor Siraj Patel was having a five-day Vacation Bible School. On the final day, Changuna went to the VBS with some friends. She enjoyed the activities and teaching based on the theme “Created to Win.”
Changuna’s visit to VBS turned out to be more than a fun day, though. She asked Jesus into her heart as a result of what she learned. She told her parents about the program and about Jesus. Intrigued about Christ, they asked Pastor Siraj to visit them.
Pastor Siraj traveled to their village, and God opened up many doors: He told Changuna’s family about Jesus and prayed for them. Not only did he have the opportunity to share the Good News with them, but some other villagers asked Jesus into their lives as well. Siraj began meeting with these 15 new believers weekly to help them in their spiritual journey.
Out of one girl’s chance attendance at a Vacation Bible School, God raised up a thriving fellowship in her village.
