A life of worshipping his deities was making Budharam feel empty. During this time of doubt, a friend’s sister began acting strangely.
When nothing the family did helped their daughter, a Christian visitor suggested that she be taken to a local church for prayer. When their daughter was completely freed from the power of evil spirits after the pastor prayed for her in the name of Jesus Christ, the family put their trust in Him.
Budharam observed all this yet still did not believe. When his own family and village turned against him because of his friendship with the new believers, Budharam turned back to his old religion once more. A short time later, however, he met a pastor who shared the Gospel with him, and at last his heart saw the light. Though he had already experienced a taste of persecution, Budharam chose to follow Christ and later enrolled in a GFA Bible college.
“I was willing to count the cost to serve my Savior,” he declares.
