Woman Leads Family to Christ

These young men are preparing to join Daniel and other GFA missionaries in reaching Andhra Pradesh with the love of Jesus.

Divya Mahami came to Christ just a short time before she passed away. But before her death, it was her joy to see her family also seek the Lord. Before Divya came to know Jesus, she suffered from severe joint pain and swelling. Having never heard of Christ, Divya’s family turned to medical treatment and even the village priests. They performed rituals to their gods and goddesses for her healing, but nothing worked.

Then she met GFA missionary Daniel. Daniel explained the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ to Divya. As she listened, her heart flooded with joy. She received Jesus as her Savior. Daniel continued to pray for Divya’s health and his prayers were answered. Divya was healed!

Slowly, as Divya’s family watched her life, they started opening their hearts. Her daughter-in-law was the first to come to know the Lord, and they all began attending a church nearby.

Divya passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Daniel and the church are thankful that the Lord drew Divya to Himself before she died. Divya’s family members recently relocated to another city for work. Daniel is looking for another church close to their new home where they can worship the Lord. Please pray for Divya’s family-that the Lord will comfort them and continue to draw them to Himself.
