No Churches Allowed Here!
Church buildings, like the one this pastor is in, offer a safe place for Indian Christians to meet for worship. Yet, there are many hurdles to overcome before a building can be constructed. |
Gospel for Asia missionary Rosha Mina was so excited! His congregation would soon have a new church building in which to worship Jesus. Their hopes for a new church home were dashed on November 4 when a local government official issued a stay order, halting all construction work on the new church building in Madhya Pradesh, India.
When Rosha asked why the order was being issued, the official cited complaints by fellow villagers who opposed the church building in their community.
The Christians who attend this church must now petition the court for permission to resume the building project.
Rosha asks for prayer that the court would hear the case and grant a response favorable to the church. He also requests prayer for protection of the church construction materials, which are still at the building site.
