One Piece of Paper Begins a Glorious New Chapter

Sandeep was on a journey, each step bringing him closer to death. But then God intervened with a simple piece of paper, and that day marked the beginning of a glorious new chapter in his life.

Sandeep seemed to have it all—money, good health and plenty of friends. Rich in religious activity as well, he had zealously devoted himself from an early age to the worship of many gods and goddesses. Yet somehow he felt a huge vacuum in his heart that none of those things had been able to fill. So he plodded on from day to day, feeling miserably trapped in a meaningless existence.

The worst part was that Sandeep felt there was no one who could understand his inner struggle. He felt utterly alone. The more he looked for peace, the more it seemed to evade him.

Finally, the inner turmoil was more than he could bear, and one day he decided to take his life. Quietly, he slipped away from his village to carry out his plan.

But Sandeep never reached his intended destination. Instead, he crossed paths with Dayashil, a Gospel for Asia native missionary, who handed Sandeep a Gospel tract. Pausing for a moment to read the tract, Sandeep found it intriguing—and was moved to learn for the first time of a Savior who loved him and freely offered redemption. Instead of continuing his journey to end his life, Sandeep asked to hear more about Jesus.

Pastor Dayashil gladly shared the Good News with Sandeep and gave him a New Testament. As Sandeep returned home and began reading the Scriptures for the first time, peace flooded his heart. Sandeep began attending church each Sunday and soon trusted in Jesus as his Savior.

Far from being suicidal, Sandeep now has abundant life—and he prays that his family will also know Jesus. And his amazing transformation all started with a simple Gospel tract.
