Powerful Words in Small Print
The power of the Living Word took over Sam’s life in one sitting. When he read the Gospel tract, hope filled his heart for the first time. Life had not always been easy for Sam. He grewup in a home in which he was taught to worship numerous gods and goddesses, but he never reached the point where he could fully trust in them to provide for him.

And Sam hated Christians. Even as a young man, he was sure that these believers in Jesus were out to destroy his culture by forcibly converting anyone they could find to their religion. So he angrily determined never to allow a Christian to talk to him.
When he failed his ninth-grade exit exam, hopelessness led him to drop out of school entirely. Scorned by his society for failing and knowing that a secure future for him was now gone, Sam felt more empty and lost than ever before. His anger against Christians grew as he heard more about their activities.
During this time of despair and anger, Sam’s mother, who could not read, came home from shopping with a Gospel tract. When she asked Sam to read it to her, he took a look and realized what it was.
"This is a foreign religion not meant for us," Sam scolded her. "Never bring one of these home again!"
Disappointed she could not learn what the little piece of paper with small print said, his mother kept the tract and hid it among other books in the house, where Sam eventually discovered and read it.
It was then, after spending his life feeling hopeless and frustrated, Sam finally understood the meaning and significance of living. This impacted him in such a way that he not only gave his life to the Lord, but he led his whole family to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as well!
Today, Sam is at a Gospel for Asia Bible college, preparing for full-time missionary work. He is praying the Lord will send him to the unreached villages of his home state of Rajasthan.
Just one Gospel tract has the potential to reach thousands of lost men, women and children. Sam’s life is proof of that.
