Pray for Our Muslim Ministry
More than 400 million Muslims live in South Asia, and India alone has more than 150 million people practicing Islam—making it one of the countries with the largest Muslim population. Gospel for Asia has a special ministry geared toward reaching these people and teaching them about the Savior—Jesus Christ. GFA equips Christian men and women to live and serve among their Muslim neighbors. Much prayer is needed while our national missionaries minister and share the love of Jesus with Muslims. 
For Jesus to be exalted higher than all else and for them to know Him as their Lord and Savior. One of the difficulties in sharing with Muslims is getting them to understand and believe that Jesus Christ is their Savior who died on the cross for their sins. In the eyes of Islam, Jesus was just a prophet—one of their most highly exalted prophets, but nothing more. But as Muslims understand the truth about Jesus, their opinion of Him can grow until they realize He is more than what they've been taught. That's what happened to this former Muslim as he read the Scriptures and came to know Jesus. Pray the truths about Christ will outweigh all other beliefs and their hearts will be opened to receive Him as Savior. 
Protection for those who have decided to live for Christ. Typically, once a Muslim decides to follow Christ, persecution awaits. Life suddenly becomes very difficult. It's not uncommon for family members and friends to abuse them and even threaten to kill them. Many are ostracized from their homes and communities. Sometimes, the only place where they are safe is in the homes of other believers. Please pray for perseverance for them to stand firm on the truths they've discovered and that they will be shielded from any harm and attacks the enemy heaps on them. 
Wisdom for those who are sharing the Gospel with Muslims. Knowing the people you're trying to reach—their culture, traditions and ways of thinking—can be a tremendous asset. And much wisdom is needed to go beyond the differences to create bonds. These women missionaries prayed for the Lord to give them opportunities to share His love. Soon they were able to start building friendships. Pray the Lord will instill His workers with discernment to develop friendships and trust, as well as to cultivate and maintain these friendships. 
Women's Fellowships to reach the women. In a culture where genders don't usually intersect and women are often hidden away where there's a company of men, ministries like GFA's Women's Fellowship are very effective in reaching the women. They can show God's love in ways that would be difficult for men. They are also able to minister to the needs of the women. One Muslim lady found relief from debilitating headaches after a Women's Fellowship team prayed for her. Pray the Lord equips these women with the ability to effectively serve alongside their brothers to reach the Muslim women, and that their ministries will flourish. 
More bold laborers. The religion of Islam is quickly growing and more people are embracing its teaching. There is a great need for laborers to go into these Muslim-populated regions and proclaim the true Kingdom of God. It's dangerous being a follower of Christ when you're surrounded by people who detest your faith, but the Lord has raised up faithful servants who are ready to give up all—even their lives—for Him. Pray more people with a fiery passion for their Maker and a desire to win the lost will be sent to minister among these precious people, who are beloved in the eyes of God. Pray also for those who risk their lives to serve, that the Lord will anoint them with His Spirit as they interact with and love those who, many times, see them as enemies. 
Ways to reach them. It's also important for the laborers to find creative ways to share about Christ, especially when they're serving in areas where it's unsafe to overtly speak about Jesus. Gospel tracts and radio broadcasts are useful tools in outreach, giving the missionaries extended access. Pray the Lord will fill them with divine inspiration and boldness in finding ways to effectively proclaim His name.
