Radio Broadcast Transforms Lives

Year after year, Jundra, a devout Buddhist, followed each ritual—holding to the traditions of his faith. Then someone told him about Gospel for Asia's radio program in Chakma, his native language. Jundra listened to the program intently day after day.

"I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior," Jundra wrote in a letter to a GFA field office. "What should I do?"

Tiju, GFA's radio broadcaster for the Chakma language, went and encouraged Jundra, explaining more of the Scriptures and helping him learn what it means to follow the Lord. Later, Jundra was asked to join the staff of a Bridge of Hope center. Through interacting with the Christian teachers, Jundra grew in his relationship with Jesus.

Gripped by Christ's love, he started sharing about Jesus with his family and fellow villagers. His wife and two other family members were very interested and attended a church gathering of approximately 4,000 believers last October. Through the teaching, all three received Christ as their personal Savior.

Within one week, nine people from Jundra's village received Jesus' salvation. Changed by His love, these new believers are reaching out to the Mog people, a neighboring tribe, and sharing Christ with them.

Please pray that this small cluster of believers will soon grow to hundreds of Chakma and Mog villagers worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ in one accord.
