Attendee Comments
- "On behalf of our entire family, I wanted to thank you again for hosting the Renewing Your Passion Conference. God used you to mightily impact our lives."
- "Wanted to say what a blessing it was for us to be able to attend the conference this past weekend. It was all so new to us and gave us a lot to think about."
- "It revolutionized my life!"
- "We loved that the believers who attended the conference seemed really genuine. It was a refreshing atmosphere."
- "The prayer time was amazing. It felt like everyone was family. It changed my view of missions and what I want to do with the life God gave me."
- "The conference was extremely powerful in my life—I craved more."
- "The six-hour prayer meeting zipped by too quickly!"
- "I've never seen so many passionate, committed Christians gathered in one place. Thanks for not begging for money—the Holy Spirit can do a better job of raising money."
- "I was touched and blessed by each and every speaker. I was encouraged and challenged in my daily walk with Christ."
- "I wanted to drop you and your fine team our heartfelt gratitude for such a wonderful conference. I have been involved in Christian ministry since the '60s and have been in many "missions" events, but none like the GFA! This is the first missions event that I have ever attended that did not receive an offering! I am not sure that was good for GFA, but it communicated a vital message to Debbie and me—that this ministry is not just about getting $$$$!! I think in the long term, God is favoring GFA for your commitment to trusting in the Holy Spirit and prayer to carry the day and not the "arm of flesh"! I want to get much more involved in helping GFA!"
- "God has given all of us a desire for meaning and purpose beyond ourselves and beyond our families. GFA has been the primary vehicle for filling that desire for the past 17 years."
- "Jesus, as always before, walked across the stage time after time. He was the focus and continues to be the focus of the ministry. We can't wait to see what God will do."
- "The conference was so encouraging and challenging. We need to be challenged constantly and reminded of what is going on in God's world around us."
- "It was the best conference I have ever been to."
- "This up-close exposure to missionaries from the third world really has impacted my kids for good."
- "We were both incredibly blessed to be at RYP, I have a new fire burning for the kingdom and for the lost as well as a renewed passion to encourage and disciple the believers that I have influence with in my own life. The call of servanthood and separating ourselves from the things of this world has become a burning desire rather than a feeling of obligation."
- "Thank you for helping me to see the need and the big picture."
- "Having the brothers come from the mission field and share was incredible. Also, the fellowship was very reviving, very God-centered."
- "This conference is just what I needed to rekindle my passion. The greatest temptation in my life is complacency and the affluence we have been given. My husband and I are reprioritizing how we live our lives so that we might be storing up treasure in heaven instead of here on earth."
- "This conference is very special for me. I was born and grew up into Hinduism. I was ministered to by radio ministry. Preachers on radio do not know me; in the same way, GFA supporters are touching the life of people whom they may never see on earth but they will meet in heaven."
- "Keep the prayer meeting if you do this in the future—so important."
- "It's a joy to hear the heart of the staff around the world."
- "I heard numerous people say this is the New Testament Church!"
- "Thank you for treating a newcomer like family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyone who exhibited such an authentic example of the home of Christ, not only for the lost but also for the body of Christ who attended this glorious weekend."
- "It was great to talk with different staff during the meals and throughout the conference; they made us feel like family. I really appreciate the updates from the field; it is great to hear what God is doing in Asia."
- "I want to thank you for the encouragement provided to my son and me at the recent Renewing Your Passion Conference. The conference was a real blessing to the two of us, and a strong motivation in many areas. However, the greatest benefit I have actually realized when I returned home to my family.
- "Upon returning home, I shared with the rest of our children some of the things we heard at the conference with a focus on the Bridge of Hope children. They were very attentive and moved in their hearts beyond what I expected. In one of our family Bible reading times a few days later, I read Proverbs 22:9, which says: "He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he gives his bread to the poor." I did not mention the Dalit children, but I did comment on the benefits of a generous eye. After our family time, our children dispersed for bed for the night. A few minutes later, my eight-year-old daughter came back down and handed me the $15 she had just received as a birthday gift and said, "Dad, will you please give this to the children of India?" I later found out that she told her mom, "Mom, I have a bed, and those children don't have anything." A few days later, my 15-year-old son gave me $50 that he had been saving from mowing lawns and ironing and said, "Dad, will you give this to the poor children of India?" An hour later, my 18-year-old daughter handed me $100 she had been saving from babysitting and said, "This is for Gospel for Asia and the poor children of India." I am enclosing the $165 from these children.
- "I am quite humbled by their reaction and very encouraged. As a father, my prayer for my children is that they will be moved in their hearts by the Lord and not by my coaxing. I said nothing to them about what they should do, but obviously, the Lord spoke to them. I share all of this with you that it might be an encouragement as it was to me."
