Finding Jesus Along the Pathway

As Mukunda Rangan walked toward his village, he had no idea that he would find a great treasure. But the little booklet he picked up off the ground completely changed his life.
Mukunda's village in Arunachal Pradesh, India, was staunchly anti-Christian. His family was Buddhist, and Mukunda had never had access to the truth of the Gospel.
Gospel for Asia-supported missionary Vishwas Bonjani desired to share about Jesus in the village, but because it was so antagonistic toward Christianity, Vishwas knew it would be dangerous. He decided that one effective tool for presenting the Good News would be Gospel tracts.
Vishwas prayerfully placed a few tracts along the pathway leading to the village. He knew that these simple leaflets contained the words of life, with power to transform—and that they could open doors in places where he was restricted.
That very same day, Mukunda walked down the path and saw an unusual sight—a booklet on the ground. Curious, he picked it up. His attention captured, Mukunda read the entire booklet. The Word of God deeply moved him, and he began actively seeking to learn more about this Jesus referred to in the tract. It wasn't long before Mukunda then made the decision to follow Christ.
Because Vishwas had included his contact information on the tract, Mukunda was able to locate him and let him know what had happened since he'd placed the Gospel literature on the path. Filled with joy to hear Mukunda's story, Vishwas began to disciple Mukunda and help him grow in his understanding of the Bible.
When Mukunda himself felt called of the Lord to enter the ministry, Vishwas was able to direct him to one of Gospel for Asia's Bible colleges. Today, Mukunda is preparing to enter full-time service—powerful evidence of God's promise that His Word will not return void, even when it takes the form of a little booklet carefully placed beside a pathway.
