Unable to walk, Janu Naik, 36, was brought to Pastor Sarish Suday on a friend's motorcycle. Janu's legs had been slowly wasting away from a disease that doctors were unable to diagnose. He went to hospitals for treatment. That didn't work. He spent most of his and his wife's earnings on medical treatments, but nothing changed. He sought the powers of sorcerers and witchcraft, only to be left in the same predicament.
It seemed Pastor Sarish would not change his condition either. After a week of prayer from the pastor, there was no miracle. Janu's legs still did not work. With compassion in their hearts, both Pastor Sarish and his congregation began fasting and praying for the healing of Janu. Suddenly, Janu and his wife, Vinaya, began to make strange noises.
Knowing this was the influence of evil spirits, the believers reached out to the couple and began rebuking the spirits in the name of Jesus. The spirit began speaking, calling itself Rakshas, which means "ghost." It shared that it was residing in Vinaya's body and was trying to destroy the whole family. It had already caused their two children to die and was now attacking Janu's legs.
As the believers continued their prayers, the evil spirit cried out as though it were in pain. It screamed that it was losing control over the couple. Then, six demons came out of Vinaya and one out of Janu!
Pastor Sarish and the congregation continued praying and praising God that the power of darkness had left.
Janu has seen vast improvement in his legs. But even more importantly, Janu and Vinaya fully surrendered their lives to Christ and received Him as their personal Savior.
