Text from this PhotoShow:
The Gospel for Asia women's mobile team travels from village to village sharing the Gospel. They spend their days doing two different kinds of ministry.
Most of the men are out working in the fields during the day. So the women go from house to house, visiting the women and elderly who are at home.
Team members also share the Gospel with the people they meet in the villages and towns. People often ask them to pray about their needs, and the women gladly do so.
Each evening, when the sun goes down, the villages are turned into outdoor theaters as the women show Man of Mercy, an Indian-made film about the life of Jesus. They stretch out a large white sheet to use as a projection screen.
Pounding the stakes into the ground to hold up the screen is a physical challenge for the women, but they stick with it, and soon the screen is up and people begin arriving to see the film.
Word spread about the film in this village, and about 300 people showed up to watch it. The men, who are back from the fields at this time of day, bring their families to see Man of Mercy.
On this night, there were a few technical problems with the equipment. But with a little persistence, the show did go on.
Hundreds see the message of the Gospel dramatized in film this night! When it is over, the women pray with dozens of people touched by the movie and its message. It is late into the night before the women can pack their materials back into their vehicle. It's been a long day, but now it's time to get some rest before another day of ministry.
