I was born December 12, 1983, into a non-Christian family in India. I grew up learning the non-Christian culture and custom. After my father's death, my mom who was a non-Christian gave me into the care of my relatives who were Christians. Thus I lived in a Christian home.

Though my relatives were Christians of a mainline denomination, they disciplined me to follow the church tradition and also sent me to a school run by their church. I attended Sunday services and participated in the liturgy of the church, but I never knew the importance of a born-again experience.

Living with my relatives, I did not know what would happen to my future. One day while I was reading the Bible, I was struck by the thought of what would happen to me after my death. Disturbed with the thought of life after death, I spent more time pondering over the Word of God. The Scripture portions I read began speaking to me about the truth of eternity.

As the Lord made it clear about the reality of eternal life, I knelt in His presence praying to Him to have mercy on me. I asked Jesus to come into my heart and abide in me. That very moment His peace filled my heart, and I was assured that Jesus had become my personal Savior and Lord.

The new covenant with the Lord brought great changes in my life. I started to know the Lord deeply and intimately through my meditation and prayer. Then I joined a believers' church to worship the Lord and have fellowship with godly people. Soon I made a public testimony of my faith in obedience to my Master's command.

Time with my Master helped me develop a desire in my heart to study the Word and serve Him wholeheartedly. Confirmed of the divine calling I enrolled in a Bible school to be equipped for the task I was called for.
