Rabindra's Testimony
I was born February 3, 1960, into a non-Christian family in India. I grew up in the traditions and followed the practices of our religion with all my heart. In spite of my religious fervor, I had no peace and joy. There was always some kind of a tension in my life, and I failed to find a solution to it. To get peace I worshipped numerous gods and goddesses but it was all in vain.
Fortunately, during one of those days I came in contact with a Believers church pastor who shared the Gospel with me. He spoke about sin and salvation. His message invoked in me the hope of being cleansed from all my iniquities. In the following days the man of God visited me and taught me from the Bible regularly. It was through him that the Word of God convicted me and helped me to come to the saving knowledge of Christ.
Receiving Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, I experienced great joy and peace. I gave up worshipping gods and goddesses and became interested in going in church. My fellowship with the pastor and believers there helped me to grow spiritually. Later I made a public testimony of my faith.
Once while I was talking with my pastor, he mentioned about the significance of serving God. At that time I was also burdened to reach out to the perishing people with the love of Christ. The Lord confirmed His call in a special way, and I dedicated my life for the ministry. When I shared this with my pastor he encouraged me to get training for the ministry. Thus I joined a Gospel For Asia training center to be equipped in His Word.
Present Ministry
I serve the Lord as an evangelist in India, where the majority are non-Christians. My heart is always moved whom I see the people lost in superstitious beliefs. House visitation, Gospel tract distribution, home-prayer fellowships, church-planting ministry and personal evangelism are the different ministries I am involved in for the extension of God's kingdom.
Please pray for me that I may fulfill God's plan to expand His kingdom.
