I was born July 2, 1975, into an non-Christian (people who worship nature, ancestral spirits and many different gods) family in India. I come from a tribal group. Being religious, I was faithful in performing the various rites and rituals. I also roamed around with my friends and developed some bad habits in their company.

As my family was not very healthy in the financial area, I was not privileged to continue my studies after the tenth grade. I along with my father worked in our field, and thus somehow our daily needs were met.

Later I got a job in a small construction company. But so many problems occurred at that time due to which I found no peace and happiness in life. I felt a deep void in my heart and did not know how to fill it. It was then that a pastor from a nearby place came to my house. He told me that Jesus is the only way to salvation. Right there, I knelt down before Christ and confessed all my sins to Him. I then received Jesus as my personal Savior.

The joy and peace that Christ bestowed on my heart was so abundant. All my burdens were rolled away and a new life began. I joined a believers' church and later made a public profession of my faith. The changes that Christ had brought in me were obvious even in my words, thoughts and actions. The Almighty became my everything, and I surrendered everything I had to Him.

Growing in the Christian faith and love, I was challenged to serve the Lord for the rest of my life. Praying over this, I earnestly sought the Lord. The Lord of the harvest in His time revealed His plan and confirmed my call to be a part of His Great Commission. To be well equipped for the task ahead, I joined a Gospel For Asia Bible school.
