I was born March 2, 1989, in a non-Christian family in India. As a family we were enthusiastic in following the traditional rituals and practices. Though I took part in all the religious festivals, somewhere in my conscience I felt that I was doing wrong. As years rolled away, I became disobedient and rebellious to my parents. Due to this type of lifestyle, I earned a bad name in the society, and eventually I discontinued my studies. During those days, I took several decisions that spoiled me and later I was regretful of my wrong choices to live.

One day a Christian lady from our neighborhood counseled me and shared the Good News with me. But I was hesitant to listen to her words and continued to live as I wished. Again, another day she called and gave me a New Testament and prayed for me. One day, while I was at home I began to read the New Testament, and I felt life in those words. The Good News of Jesus began to bring peace in my heart and the Word became a mirror for me to see my wretched state. One day I decided to go to the church to know more about Jesus.

As I went, I was amazed to see people who were worshipping the Lord in spirit and truth. The songs that I heard soothed my soul and through the hearing of the Word, I realized that the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross was complete and perfect. Without further delay, I confessed my sins and received Jesus as my personal Savior. That day onwards, my life took a new turn and my character and behavior changed radically. My family members were amazed to see my transformed life, yet they were unwilling to accept the truth about Jesus Christ. Knowing it is a command from God, I made a public declaration of my faith on May 25, 2008.

The daily meditation on the Word helped me to grow spiritually. Eventually, I felt God's call on me to labor in His vineyard. My pastor helped me to attend a short-term discipleship-training program, which deepened my walk with my Redeemer. Being confirmed of the great call, I enrolled in a Bible School to learn the Word systematically.
