Suman's Testimony
I was born July 3, 1991, in an non-Christian family in India. I have parents, four sisters and two brothers. From an early age, I began to observe the traditional rituals of our religion with much fervor. Not knowing that we were dishonoring the Creator God by adoring the creation, we continued idol worship.
As years rolled away, I became arrogant and rebellious. One day, while I was in school, I happened to fall and became unconscious. My friends and teachers helped me to reach home and I was taken to a hospital. In the subsequent days, I often felt dizzy and could not regain my health. Since medication seemed vain, we turned to our gods and goddesses. Despite our prayers and offerings, my condition turned from bad to worse day by day. My family members were discouraged to see my troubles and agony.
Days went by, a missionary came to our village and began to share the love of God with us. As he explained His love, I was touched by hearing that God had sent His only begotten Son to save the sinful humanity. As he continued to visit us, I was frequently exposed to his teachings. Eventually, I understood that Jesus is the only God who is able to forgive our sins and heal our diseases. With great belief in the Almighty, I prayed and the Lord healed me from all my sicknesses and made me whole. Experiencing the power of God, I confessed my sins and received Jesus as my personal Savior.
I continued to focus on Jesus and He filled my heart with joy and peace that my deities failed to give. Browsing through the Scripture helped me to understand that Jesus gave everything to save me and I was responsible to share His love to the unsaved. Seeing my zeal for the ministry, my pastor advised me to find Gods' will. As I waited in prayer, the Lord confirmed His call on me, and I enrolled in a Bible School to equip myself for the ministry ahead.
Present Ministry
Presently, I am serving the Lord as a Bible woman in India, where the majority of the people are non-Christians. The various ways through which I propagate the Good News are Gospel tract distribution, home prayer meetings, Sunday school and door-to-door evangelism. I am actively involved in women's fellowship.
Please pray for me that I may fulfill God's plan to expand His kingdom.
