I was born March 25, 1984, into a non-Christian family in India. I have parents, two brothers and two sisters. My father worked hard in the field to take care of the needs of our home. Our parents taught us to follow their footsteps in worshipping numerous god and goddesses. Accordingly we did all the rites and rituals of our religion to receive blessings from them. Yet, there was no peace in our lives.

Once when I was in the fifth grade, one night some thieves broke into our home and took away all our belongings. This incident discouraged my father and he was totally disappointed. From this time, onwards we had to face many problems. My mother was affected with cancer and my brother suffered from brain tumor. We spent a huge amount of money for their treatment. During this time due to lack of money it was hard for us to survive. One after the other we faced many problems and my father was very upset.

I was married when I was quiet young. Within years I was blessed with two children but because of my husband's sickness I was totally worried and had sleepless nights. Due to this I was mentally disturbed. A huge amount of money was spent for my treatment but all was in vain. Once a servant of God came to our village to preach the Word. My husband met the pastor and asked him to pray for us. He came home and prayed for me and miraculously I was completely healed from all my problems. He regularly visited us and prayed for our family members. He gave me Bible and asked me to read it every day.

By seeing this miracle I knelt on my knees and confessing my sins I received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. In the mean time I made a public testimony of my faith. My husband started to persecute me because of my newfound faith. But God gave me courage to stand firm in Him. As I began to have a closer walk with my Lord through His Word I received the divine call to be a mighty witness for Him in the unreached areas. I then enrolled in a Bible School to be well-equipped for the task ahead.
