A new school year is a time filled with excitement and anticipation for students around the world. In the West, most kids can look forward to getting school supplies and a new backpack to carry all that stuff in.
It is the same for the children who attend classes at Gospel for Asia Bridge of Hope Centers.
More than 1,500 students in the 12 Bridge of Hope centers in Delhi, India recently received their school supplies.
Each student was presented with a backpack, notebooks and a mat, which they use to sit on while they are at the center.
These children are showing off their new materials. The school supplies are provided as part of each child's Bridge of Hope sponsorship. The supplies were all purchased locally, which is very cost-effective.
Lots of parents were on hand for the distributions. These mothers are grateful for the supplies. Most of them cannot afford to purchase these needed items on their own.
Now everyone is ready for learning!
