Introducing people to Jesus isn't the only thing Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries have on their agenda. One of the vital elements in the lives of new believers is developing and growing in Jesus Christ, and our missionaries make sure they have those opportunities.
The local pastors organize believers' conventions to help new Christians grow in their faith. This one was a three-day event consisting of worship and multiple teaching sessions to encourage the believers in their new walks with the Lord.
Attendance can run from 300 to 3,000. Some people are so eager to take part in the event they'll climb on top of the vehicles if there isn't enough room inside.
Once at the conventions, the new believers sit together and eagerly drink in the teachings from God's Word.
Local pastors and GFA state leaders participate in the events. They offer fresh insights on living an intimate life with God.
No convention is complete without a time of worship. Hours are spent giving praise to the Lord.
Healings and deliverance from demonic oppression are common occurrences as the Christians praise and worship the true Creator.
Many people with problems and sicknesses come forward for prayer. As the GFA-supported missionaries pray for them, the power of God is seen in a mighty way, and they experience divine freedom from life's tribulations.
By the end of the convention, new believers and pastors alike are filled to the brim with joy, igniting a spiritual revival. They're left with a deeper awareness of the reality of God.
