Text from this PhotoShow:

When Gospel for Asia-supported missionary Jaman Rai opens his eyes after praying . . .
. . . the image on the left is an example of what he can see.
Jaman's optic nerves have a genetic problem that caused them to deteriorate in adulthood.
But he won't let this stop him. Jaman has a strong ministry anointed by God. He has touched many lives in two different Asian villages.
Jaman's wife, Hemaprabi, is incredibly dedicated to helping him follow his call to serve God.
She sees it as her own calling to be his eyes.
She reads him the Bible, looks up his questions and writes down the notes that he dictates to her.
Then she helps him memorize his notes. When he teaches his congregation, it all comes from memory.
Jaman graduated in 1996 after receiving training from GFA. This prepared him for his ministry, even though it is different than most other missionaries'.
With his training and his wife's help and support, Jaman can do incredible things. Because of their faithfulness to serve in these difficult circumstances, many are seeing the Light of the World—Jesus Christ.
