Text from this PhotoShow:
When Jobi Masih was a student at a GFA Bible college, he was challenged to find at least 10 people whom he could train for ministry during his first year as a missionary.
After only a few months, Jobi was already discipling 10 people who went on to become full-time missionaries. During his subsequent 10 years of ministry, Jobi has discipled and prepared 40 people for ministry. Of those, 25 are already out planting churches.
Jobi instilled a passion to reach the lost in each of these missionaries. They are bringing that same desire to the people they serve. The result is an explosion of churches full of people excited to share the love of Jesus.
The missionaries Jobi worked with are also carrying on his tradition of discipling young men and women who have committed to serving in ministry. They will spend time with their mentor, attend Bible college and finally, go out to minister among their own people.
Vamsi Pakaloma was one of the men Jobi discipled. Vamsi left behind a self-centered, worldly lifestyle when he chose to follow God. Jobi taught him how to reorder his life so that serving God is now his number one priority.
Rishi Sunkara was already married with 3 children when he began training for the ministry under Jobi's leadership. Rishi comes from a tribal culture where singing is very important. He plans to use song to help reach people with the Gospel.
Vijay Gupta remembers how Jobi taught him to spend time fasting and praying before entering a new area to share the Gospel. Vijay plans to use this strategy when he begins ministering to the young men in his home village.
Yajur Samala is one of Jobi's disciples. He recently graduated from Bible college and returned to his home district to plant a church. He wants to disciple other young people, the same way that Jobi led him.
Palak Doshia was also one of Jobi's disciples. He is now the pastor of a growing church. He is also discipling several people who are planning to enter ministry.
In a few short years Palak's disciples, shown here, will become the third generation of church planters to spring forth from Jobi's ministry.
All of these missionaries are passing on their passion and vision to reach their home state of Chhattisgarh, India, with the Gospel. As generation after generation of native missionaries are raised up, vibrant churches are sure to be planted in hundreds of villages throughout India.
