Conference Representative
Position Summary
This position is appropriate for individuals who are able and willing to present Gospel for Asia's ministry through distribution of literature at Christian events. You will be expected to seek opportunities and secure permission to distribute literature at gatherings such as conferences, mission events, home school fairs, and concerts.
Responsible To
Area Coordinator and/or GFA staff.
Purpose
To help Christians understand their responsibility to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. To present the ministry of GFA as a means to accomplish this biblical command.
Responsibilities
- Maintain your walk with the Lord through consistent prayer and study of God's Word. We encourage you to be a consistent witness for Christ and to pray for all aspects of the ministry of GFA.
- You will seek to distribute Gospel for Asia literature at events such as conferences, conventions, home school fairs, concerts, and missions events. Your goal will be to discover and obtain permission to have a table or hand out literature at five events per year.
- While you will have significant flexibility in your position, you will need to regularly communicate with your supervisor regarding your activities. Your supervisor will schedule a time to call you approximately every two months.
- You will be encouraged to participate in special campaigns that the Volunteer Network staff may develop. We may have large events near you (such as Promise Keepers or national mission conventions) at which we would ask for your help at the GFA display table.
Optional Activities
- Distributing and managing GFA counter displays and posters.
- Promoting GFA resources to pastors, youth pastors, missions committees, small group leaders, and other appropriate individuals.
- Assisting with special projects as provided by your supervisor.
Time Required
Varies widely, from no time during off weeks to several hours during the week of an event, depending on whether or not you have an activity that week.
Length of Commitment
One year, renewable on an annual basis.
Support and Training Provided
- Initial Training Course: This mandatory training course will be mailed to you upon successful completion of your interview. Your supervisor will review the training with you over the phone.
- Ongoing Training Activities: Each calendar year following your initial training you will participate in one training activity to maintain your status as a volunteer.
- Informal Training Activities: You will learn more about GFA and how to develop a successful volunteer ministry strategy by communicating with your supervisor and reading materials sent to you by the staff.
Reimbursement
- You will have the option of being reimbursed for all approved ministry-related expenses.
- Some volunteer expenses may qualify as charitable gifts when you file your income tax return.

This position is appropriate for individuals who are able and willing to work in a creative, self-directed manner in seeking opportunities to present GFA's ministry to the public. You will be expected to initiate contacts within your sphere of influence and in your community and surrounding areas.

Purpose
To help Christians understand their responsibility to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. To present the ministry of GFA as a means to accomplish this biblical command.
Responsibilities
- Maintain your walk with the Lord through consistent prayer and study of God's Word. We encourage you to be a consistent witness for Christ and to pray for all aspects of the ministry of GFA.
- Your main goal will be to recruit native missionary sponsors, and prayer and financial support for other GFA ministry initiatives. Therefore, we require that you schedule a minimum of two presentations per quarter within your sphere of influence.
- While you will have significant flexibility in your position, you will need to regularly communicate with your supervisor regarding your activities. Your supervisor will schedule a time to call you approximately once a month.
- You will be encouraged to participate in special campaigns that the Volunteer Network staff may develop. These campaigns may count toward your goal of two presentations per quarter.
Optional Activities
