When most people think about India and other parts of Asia, images of stifling villages in the jungle come to mind.
However, there are many mountainous places throughout Asia where temperatures drop well below zero during the winter.
Several Gospel for Asia missionaries serve in villages high up in the mountains and must travel many miles on foot to get there.
In the winter, these treks to villages often include enduring freezing temperatures and sometimes even blizzards.
Struggling to stay warm while out in the frigid weather, some missionaries wrap themselves in blankets and take time to warm by a fire.
Last year, Gospel for Asia distributed sweaters and other warm clothing to several native missionaries who serve in places that have bitterly cold winters.
Before opening their new clothes, the missionaries thank the Lord for providing for all their needs. The missionaries rely on gifts of clothing to make it through the winter.
This young woman serves as a missionary in Nepal. She received a package of winter essentials that included a coat and scarf.
Still, not all missionaries have had the opportunity to receive new winter clothes. This winter, many will need warmth as they travel up the mountainous paths to share the Good News.
