Women Reaching Women
Sixty women crowd into the room, Bibles on their laps and sleeping babies nestled beside them. Voices raised in praise ring throughout the tiny house. Tears, born out of deep love for Jesus, stream down their faces. Through Sara's ministry, these women have embraced Christ and His salvation.

Sara considers it a privilege to be a helpmate to her husband, Gospel for Asia pastor and missionary James Nanad ("Caring for the Harvest," First Quarter 2005 SEND!), as he reaches out to the unreached in their area. Cultural restrictions often prevent men from ministering directly to women. Sara gladly accompanies her husband from home to home, laying hands on sick and demon-possessed women and agreeing with him in prayer for their healing and deliverance. And they have seen the Lord's redemptive hand at work.
As a pastor's wife, Sara actively disciples the women in their church. Each Wednesday they gather for fasting and prayer, and she shares from God's Word. Once a month, Sara leads an extended night of prayer during which these women intercede for the needs and evangelistic efforts of the church body. Sara also supervises a house visitation ministry to unreached women. Through all these efforts, the church has grown.
Sara's involvement in the ministry means her husband can touch many more lives for the kingdom than he could otherwise. As she balances family responsibilities with her God-given calling to complement her husband's ministry, she is also a godly role model for these women who are new to the faith.
Sara is just one of thousands of GFA Bible women serving the Lord in Asia. Like her, some further the Gospel by supporting their husbands. Others are single women who travel in teams, evangelizing and discipling other women and children. All have entered into ministry with a definite call upon their lives, knowing they could suffer for their witness. They joyfully choose to press on daily, reaching souls for Christ's kingdom.

And when Sara looks around at the radiant faces of the women in her church, once in spiritual bondage but now worshipping Jesus, she knows every hardship and inconvenience is worth her sacrifice.
