In South Asia, 50,000 female children are aborted every month. If they live to take their first breath, they grow up being the last to eat and the most likely to be illiterate, like the young girl in this video. Often they are sold into bonded labor or prostitution to provide for their families.
“Things would be different if you were a boy”.
Many girls and women in Asia grow up believing this phrase. If they were boys, they would have the love they so crave from their family. If they were boys, they could go to school, get an education and live out their dreams. If they were boys, they would be more likely to eat every day. If only they were boys, their lives would be much better.
This doesn’t have to be their reality anymore. Girls and women don’t have to believe the lie that they are of little worth. Learn how we together can speak truth and love into the lives of the hurting women of Asia.

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from you, When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.”
– Psalm 139:13-16

What is the Imagine If short film series?
The idea with these films is to take Western families and place them in situations that commonly occur in the lives of millions throughout Asia.
Oftentimes we hear of terrible events that happen on the news, but it doesn’t leave a lasting impression on us because we don’t have to deal with those conditions here in the West. However, if the same thing happened to someone in our own culture, it would make us stop and want to do something about it.
