Discarded, Abandoned and Abused – But not Forgotten

Millions of children find themselves discarded, orphaned, abused in the sex trade or kidnapped and sold into bonded labor. Others are simply runaways. All of these scenarios have led to millions of abandoned children left behind by their society and culture.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

There are over 18 million street children in South Asia. Some are forced to beg, while others turn to prostitution and drugs. In South Asia alone, an estimated 11 million children are separated from their families. Tens of thousands of baby girls are abandoned by their parents each year.
