Message from our Founder, K.P. Yohannan

My Dear Friends,

Every day our missionaries meet people who are in dire economic circumstances. When they tell me about these situations all I can think of is how quickly can we help them with an item from our gift catalog. I continue to be amazed at how much the simple gifts of livestock, tools, Bibles, water filters and wells are literally transforming families.

Such was the case for Manasa, who received a sewing machine from this catalog last year. Manasa is a wife and mother in India. She took on the new role as the family breadwinner after her husband lost his leg in an accident. He can't work, and where they live, that means they don't eat. There are no social service programs to help them.

But we knew that Manasa had been trained to work as a tailor, but she had no sewing machine. Thanks to the generosity of someone who read this catalog last year, Manasa now has a sewing machine and is able to provide for her family.

"It has brought a smile back to my face and hope to my life," she said.

God sent his own son as a Christmas gift to you, to me and to Manasa. And today, He is using us to provide the remedy for their financial needs through these simple Christmas gifts. It is my prayer that you will spend time studying this catalog and praying about your role in helping another family like Manasa's, find hope in Jesus Christ.
