Mother's Day
– Honor Your Mother

Better than Flowers; Sweeter than Chocolate

This year, get Mom something that will last longer than flowers and is sweeter than chocolate: support a Bridge of Hope child and help mothers across Asia provide for their children.

Our hope this year is to equip 2,000 children with education, meals and the love of Christ by Mother’s Day. Gifts like flowers and chocolate are good, yet, on behalf of so many children and mothers in need, consider stepping out in faith and helping a child. Jesus is able.

Make this Mother’s Day different. Support a Bridge of Hope child in honor of Mom.

A Mother's Day Message:

As heard in this Mother's Day message from K.P. Yohannan, he was deeply impacted by his mother. In his book Revolution in World Missions, Brother K.P. wrote about his mom's impact in his life:

“O God,” she prayed in despair, “let just one of my boys preach!” Like Hannah and so many other saintly mothers in the Bible, my mother had dedicated her children to the Lord. That morning, while preparing breakfast, she vowed to fast secretly until God called one of her sons into His service. Every Friday for the next three and a half years, she fasted. Her prayer was always the same.

Watch another brief video where K.P. shares more about his mom, her character and her desire to see her boy share about Jesus. The prayers of this faithful mom played an important part in what eventually lead to the ministry of Gospel for Asia.

The Plight of Mothers in South Asia

Can you imagine a young mother who is all skin and bones holding two babies in her arms trying to decide which one she will allow to die because she only has enough in her body to breastfeed one of them? Or how about the 50 mothers in West Bengal who decided to sell their children hoping that whoever bought them would then be able to provide for them better than they could?

Make This Year Different

“As we celebrate Mother’s Day and thank God for the influence of our mothers and wives, please remember the millions of children and mothers who have never heard of Jesus, [the One] who will provide for them.” – K.P. Yohannan

Mothers tend to care deeply for their children, so what better Mother’s Day gift is there than giving a desperate mother in Asia the chance to see her child get an education, receive a regular medical check-up, have clean clothes and eat a daily meal?
