Text from this PhotoShow: Every summer, Gospel for Asia missionaries hear the joyful pitter-patter of little feet running to make it for the start of Vacation Bible School. After weeks of preparation, the missionaries are ready to minister to the children in a way that they will understand. This missionary welcomes the kids with a brightly-colored puppet. The exciting skits and silly songs make VBS a fun atmosphere, and they also help share the story of Jesus. Each child is filled with delight as he or she watches the program unfold. Then it’s time for them to join in! The missionaries lead the kids in action songs that praise the Savior. After the opening program, a nice, cool slice of watermelon is a tasty snack in the summer heat. Then it’s time for a Bible lesson. The missionaries teach about the love of Jesus through simple Bible stories. The children enjoy coloring and working through the activity books. And every lesson emphasizes the Gospel message. Through GFA Vacation Bible Schools, many children pray to receive Jesus as their Savior and begin their lifelong journey with Him. date posted 06/23/08 |
