Her Testimony

I was born on October 3, 1990 into a nominal Christian family in India. Since childhood, I attended Sunday school not because of my love for the Lord, but since my parents expected me to do so.
As I grew older, I began to mingle with a group of bad people and entertained myself with them in various sinful ways. Eventually, I became addicted to alcohol and drugs.
On seeing my bad behavior, my parents were deeply hurt. As days went by, I began to feel hatred toward the worldly desires. During this time, I attended a Gospel meeting, where a servant of God spoke about how to lead a godly life. The words that he spoke penetrated deep into my heart. Right there, I confessed my sins and received Jesus as my Savior. Instantly, my heart was filled with great joy.
Soon, I drew closer to the Lord and learned more from the Scripture portions. As days went by, my heart was burdened to reach the lost. Through prayer I was confirmed of God’s calling, and I enrolled in a GFA Bible School.
