Frequently Asked Questions

When does the program start?

The 2021-2022 class starts on August 27, 2021 and concludes on June 25, 2022.

How much does the program cost and what’s covered?

Through our Ministry Placement Assignment (or MPA), we're able to have the program's total cost be as low as $3000. Without this MPA credit, the program cost would be $11,000 per student. The cost covers tuition (books and material), room and board (lodging and meals), and all utilities and wireless internet.

Who can attend the program?

GFA World's School of Discipleship is open to dedicated Christian single adults who are between the ages of 18 and 27 as of the first day of the program.

What is a Ministry Placement Assignment (MPA)?

Through MPAs (Ministry Placement Assignment) students train and serve alongside GFA home-team missionary staff in assigned departments, and depending on a student’s experience, giftings, and the need of GFA World, students could be assigned to any number of departments. In past classes, students have served in departments such as Donor Services, Information Technology, Print-room, Facilities, Web, Writers, and other departments.

Note: MPA is a mandatory program element. For more information please email:

Can I receive college credit?

No. School of Discipleship is not an accredited program and does not offer college credit.

Where will I live?

You will live in GFA's campus housing, rooming with other students. GFA provides furniture and other housing essentials. You'll need to bring your own bedding (twin-size), clothing, and toiletries.
